That fish looks like it's either a Lab Caeruleus hybrid of some sort or a really poor strain of yellow lab.

To the original poster - it could well be a hybrid but it could also be a very, very stressed lab. What are the water params in his tank?

Yep...I hope it was a joke too ! - it might not be a good specimen and while I wouldn't say I'm fond of him, he is part of the tank !

Sylvia - pH 8.1, nitrite 0, nitrate 10-20ppm. I have several 'good' specimens of Yellow Lab none of which look stressed. This fish was sold to me as a Yellow Zebra when small and has always had these bars
