I noticed today that some of my fishes has started to develop tiny white spots. I ran out to the LFS and bought some protazoin(sp?) and dosed the reccomended ammount, heres the problem;

i forgot to half-dose because of my BN pleco! Will he be okay??
i also forgot to take the carbon out for 15min or so, will that bring the dose down enough for him?

Sounds like white spot if the spots are the size of a grain of salt.

The black carbon shouldn't of taken much med out if it was only 15 minutes.
is the plec acting his normal self.

Have you increased aeration, and raised temp?

How long has the carbon been in the tank, as it only affective for 2 to 9 days anyway.
Using black carbon all the time is a complete waste of money. It's only good for removing meds from a tank.

Yup airation and temp are up, it was a black sponge - presuming thats carbon?

Carbon sponges are usually black.
The black sponge texture will look rough, with holes.
