Hey guys, about a week ago, one of the red swordtails in my tank got the ick. I treated quickly, and luckily it only affected the one fish. She is almost done recovering, there is only a little left on her left fin. The only problem is, she has been extensively hurt. Her left fin is almost gone, and she is blind in one eye. I was wondering if there is any special ways I need to care for her, and what would I have to do. She has been acting and swimming around normally, and seems to be eating and swimming fine. She just lays at the bottom of the tank more often. If there is any advice you can give, it will be appreciated! Thanks!

If only one fish is affected then there must be something wrong with the fish. Ick will attack a single fish if it is sick or old. Do you know how old the sword is? is she eating? One thing you can do is to try and boost her immune system. I use a product called Vitazin, I dont know if you can get it in the states, it is a liquid you soak food in to help boost a fish's immune system. Garlic can also help, I cut a piece of garlic into slices and leave it in water with the food for a couple of hours then remove the garlic and feed it to the fish. This can also help.
