Having just dosed one tank for ich (my first ever case) I've just seen 3 white spots on one of the tetras in the other big tank. I can't do the salt thing cos of the catfish in there, and there are also a few shrimps.

Does anyone know any UK meds that are okay to use with shrimps, or should I hook out the shrimps? Will they transfer the infection? Actually, do snails get ich cos I've got a snail tank they could go in......

What are the best UK ich meds even if I have to move the shrimps? I used methylene blue on the other tank but apparently that's pretty old fashioned and not very strong, plus destroys the 'good' bacteria. Any recommendations?

I would put the strimps some where else.

King British WS3 should be fine with shrimps.

If not you could just take them out and put them in a small container or vase for a couple of weeks - they will be fine as long as they are fed and you change the water.

We use the eSha range and our shrimp are fine
