keep the temp up at 86 degrees F. and keep the extra air in the tank for a couple weeks.. make sure your Beneficial Bacteria are up to snuff with your handy dandy API liquid test kit. and then start restocking.
 
Did you ever find anything that worked for you and kept it away? One of my puffers I noticed had it, I got rid of it, and about a week or two later, HE IS COVERED. in white spots, and all of my other fish are starting to slowly suffer, i've been treating for the last week and nothing seems to be helping. and I am very concered.
 
No sorry I didn't because I lost most of my fish to a secondary infection so ended up dosing pimafix instead and saving only 1 fish.

The ONLY thing that ALWAYS works for me is QuICK Cure, plus a full marine dip for 10 to fifteen seconds twice a day for a week, coupled with high temperatures and super clean water. It is the only thing that will will pull ick off gills and let the poor fish breathe. It also is like a steroid shot to the fishes mucus production system.
