My coral beauty and singapore angels had ich but now they don't they are still in hyposalinity it has been 2 weeks since any signs of ich were seen should i slowly start raising my salinity or leave it like it is at 1.010 for a little longer?

they have been free of ich for about 2 0r 3 weeks just my coral beauty had some cotton like stuff growing on its right fin and on its scales under neath it but that has dissapeared about 2 weeks ago.

I just lost my coral beauty found it sucked up on the filter intake last night i noticed my singapore biting it and i found bite mrks all over it from the singapore. can i start raising the salinity again? because i am getting another coral beauty.

Think I would want to be free of symptons for at least four weeks - the death of your fish may not have anything to do with the ich - so ensure you check water params

water is good the singapore angelfish killed it last night i noticed it chasing the coral beauty and the cb stayed at the top right of the tank all night.

its very unlikely that the SA killed the CB - what are your plans for this fish as obviously your tank is not large enough for it long term? How big is it now? and would love to see a photo

i think i am going to take down my saltwater tank because this has just devastated me.

I can understand that feeling - we all go through it at some point - but hang on in there and treat it as a learning curve, you will come out the other side, wiser but with less money

If it were me and of course its not, I would wait for a month of hypo salinity then start to very slowly raise the sg with every weekly water change I wouldn't add any more live stock yet though

Good luck and if it makes you feel any better I am currently fighting cyano and hair algae which is doing my head in!!

Yea my friend gotteeguy is fighting hair and cynao algae too but he bought a seaweed blenny and a week later its all gone

i think i will downgrade from the 30 gallon to a 20 gallon as i am getting a shipment of 2 occellaris clownfish from petsolutions dot com and i am going to sell the singapore angelfish anybody have any experience with petsolutions? lol

Ok tuesday i should get my 2 clownfish i am slowly raising the salinity how much can i raise it per day or hour? Also say if i dont get my salinity up to 1.020 before the clownfish get here will they acclimate to 1.016 or 1.018 fine? from 1.02something
