I've had ich for awhile now. It doesn't seem to be getting a lot worse but not any better either. I can't get rid of it. I've used 3 different meds.

I've used
Nox-Ich
Ich-x
Parasite Clear

nothing seems to be working. Could it be something else?

The first two meds have malachite green as an active ingredient, the third is more for internal parasites. Malachite green, in combination with formalin, is much more effective; http://www.argent-labs.com/malachitegreen.htm

You could also go with a copper based med, just make sure it is in a tank free of algae and inverts. You also need a gH of 50ppm or better when using copper, closer to 200 is best. CopperSafe, a Mardel product, is one of the more commonly found copper sulfate meds.

i have had a simular problem but touch wood mine is starting to clear. this is what i have done

turn temp up to 30 degree C
i been using the med by waterlife Protozin
feeding frozen bloodworm

while the frozen bloodworm has been defrosting i have added some liquid garlic and once defrosted mixed the pellets in with also, let stand for 5 more minutes then add food to tank.

hope this helps

my biggest issue is my heater isn't big enough to raise my temp.

I have noticed today that I seem to have less spots. We will see what happens over the next day or so. Maybe it is finally working.
