can anyone help me with an approx timescale for the ich parasites to fall off the host after the heater has been turned up? As suggested in this article
as i have had my tank at 29c for 5-6 hours and still i can see the parasites on my clown loaches?

There is no time scale varies from tank to tank, sometimes it can take two courses of treatment you will have to be patient.

one of my clown loaches is now flicking its self sometimes when swimming will it be ok?
the technique worked for my neons and my other 2 clown loaches but not this one. it has been hiding inside its cave pressed up into a small hole its also really thin in comparison to the other two.

is this disease fatal?

Mine had it around a month ago and it took around three days before it had left the fish at 29degC. I used Interpet No. 6 and it worked perfectly. I kept the temp at 29degC the whole week I was treating them to ensure it was gone. (It cannot survive at that temp while in the water)
