one of my clown loaches has ich(all the symptoms are there) so i have gone to lfs to get treatment.the instructions on the bottle and the leaflet inside contradict each other i have removed carbon and added 1st dose also started to raise temperature slowly what im unclear on is on the bottle it says to redose on day 4(nothing about a water change)and on the leaflet it says do a 30% water change before anymore meds are added.so on day 4 which is friday do i just add 2nd dose or do i do the water change?

I do a water change on the days that i dont dose, so yes you can do as long as you gravel vac as well. Turn the temp up to 85f as well as the ich doesnt like high temperatures but add extra air.
Keep your overhead tank lights off as well.

It means do a water change before using another type of medication. You should not do water changes within the duration of the medication course as this will lessen the effectiveness of the active ingredients.
