My 29gal tank got ich, i noticed last night and started dosing a bit of coppersafe (it worked good in the past), but now i have many more types of fish and unsure if any of them are sensitive to copper based medication.
I also have plants but not too many and if i lose my plants i wouldn't care much. I also wanna try the salt bath but again unsure if my fish can handle it. Please see my sig for my stock.
I did a heavy gravel vac and good 50% water change yesterday, also lowered water level to increase aeration from my HOB filter, and the temp is about 80F.
Thanks.

You could just half dose.
I would post in tropical discussion as i have never used copper meds.

I feel like I have used all the ich meds around. I used coppersafe you need to be-careful of scales fish like corys and loaches with coppersafe.

The safest way to use this treatment is with a copper test kit the API ones work well with Chelated Copper Sulfate (This is what coppersafe is.) You should keep the copper levels at 1.5 ppm you could use 2ppm but thats getting a little high. If you follow the direction you will have the right amount. It is after a water change when you need to check your water when adding more coppersafe.

This stuff is good it works well but can harm plants in the long run. So depending how long you need to treat for you might find some plants growing poorly.

I just used some Clout to treat ich in my 55 gal planted tank it worked fast and my plants are fine. This stuff is great I never had anything work so fast so well. over the years I have tried them all.

Thank you for advice. I already did a full dose last night. I'll try to find Clout since its the first time I've heard about it and will keep for future outbreaks.
