hi,
im a bit of a n00b to fish keeping, i inadvertantly began a fish in cycle, then found this forum, which has offered me loads of helpful advice on how to continue.
my tank currently has two platties and 5 live plants (none of which i know the name of sorry!)
recently i noticed my fish had ich (meaning i had to remove the carbon from my filter), maybe a week ago, so i've been treating them for that, but have noticed a bad smell coming from the tank, and one of the 'live' plants seemed to have withered away so i removed it.
could the ich treatment have cuased the plant to die off and as a result the cause of the bad smell
out of interest the ich treatment is 'king british white spot control' if that is of any use?!
and information would be great
