Hi,

I introduced a new clownloach to one of my tanks, which has now died from treatment for whitespot :-(
But the two peices of bogwood in the tank, have ich like white spots all over it too.

Is it possible that this is ich?

I am now treating with temperature of 30*c as I dont want to lose my bigge CL too.

thanks

How long have you been using the med.
And do the fish still show signs of salt like spots on them.

I've treated ich hundreds of times, so I know what I'm doing, its just that I've never seen it on items within the tanks before, that werent fish

I would remove the bog wood and wash it off.
Only ever had whitespot once and never heard of it being on bogwood.

yeah thats what I thought, I'm gonna give it a bleach dip too, as it has a lot of silcia algae on it, so wont hurt to remove that as well :D

Is silica algae in white as well as brown?
Some of the suction cups in a couple of my tanks have white slimy stuff on them. The fish seem to like it if it is scraped into the water, but it looks unhealthy!

I'm not sure what that algae is, I get that in all my tanks, silicia algae is dark green.
