My blue tang i believe has ich. I read on the internet that i could put him in a qt tank and put copper in slowly or do a fresh water bath although im hesitant to do either of those so im asking advice from people who have expirence or who can help out. Please and thank you in advance. (and i know how lame it is for a forum member to have only 1 post asking a question but i was on my other forum i activly post on and got no response so im turning to this one.)

Damn, pc ate my last post :(

Basically to save me typing it all out again, I completely agree with Ben.

I have read that FW dips dont actually do much good at all but hypersalinity treatment does if you dont want to use copper (gradually lowering the SG to a very low level for a period of time).

For a Blue tang I would highly recommend a good UV unit on the tank as these guys are a nightmare for ich and a UV unit will help stop it spreading to your other fish.

Oh yeah welcome to the forums as well :hi:

lol, sorry, yes that is right (thats what you get for posting from work :) ).

OK i'm going to be doing a WC later tonight when i get more RO water and i will slightly lower my salt levels a bit. thanks for all your guys input. i have only had my tank up about 3 months its a big difference from freshwater
