Ive just noticed some very small white spots on some of my rummynose, so im pretty sure its ich. My concern is the aquarium has quite a few plants in the tank. would it be safe for the plants if i treated the whole tank?
i have 'interpet anti white treatment'.

my stocking is:
Angels
Bolivian Rams
Pearl Gourami
Rummynose tetra
White Serpae tetra
Columbian tetra
Juhli Cory's
Oto's
Bristlenose

I don't see a problem with using that treatment with plants. Assuming it is whitespot, then you need to treat the whole tank anyway.

ok, thanks.
Just treated the tank. i am a bit unclear on how to proceed. the instruction suggest to redose after 4 days, and then do a water change after 7 days.
Am i correct in saying that i now redose after 4 days i.e. Sunday night, and then do a water change the following sunday?

hi if u read my previous posts, i too had this problem....i added the 4th day of treatment yesterday and the ich seems to have dissappered - going to do water change tomorrow as one of my infected fish died....not sure whether to do 50 percent water change tomorrow or wait till the 7th day after treatment which will be friday?
any suggestions greatly apprciated

Sorry to hijack the thread. It appears one of my fish has ich and I know I need to treat the whole tank even though none of the other fish appear to be infected yet.

I've got snails and a bamboo shrimp in my tank. Can anyone recommend a treatment which would be safe for my tank?

i dont want to sound rude, but courtesy would have dictated that yourself and the other person start their own threads. i started my own thread for this reason, and am still waiting a response for my question.
