Okay, I seperated my betta and my platy, because the platy has Ich. I put the betta in a container, and the platy in a different container. The betta doesnt have ich. I put treatment in for the platy, but now for the 5 galllon tank that they both use.... Should I treat it? If they aren't in there, should I take the carbon out of the filter, and add the recommended dosage? Should I do a complete water change? Help help help help help!!!!!
Okay so: Treat and then water change OR
Water change then treat, OR
No water change, treat OR
No treat, water change OR
Nothing at all?

i would treat the tank as well and turn the heater up max and leave for 2 to 3 days. i would give the betta a dose as well because if they get it is hard to get rid of because of there long tails. the turning the heater up is for killing the ich in the sand or stone. also it can stick to plants. i had ich for about 3 mouths when i frist started.
also are any of the fish new? if so go get a different ich treatment from the one they use in the shop. hope this helps

forgot i would not do a waterchange for 5 days once treatment started as the meds stay in the water for that long and are working to kill the ich
