My main tank just got over ich, and I was wondering if it would be ok to move one of my snails from that tank into my betta tank. I know snails can’t get ich, but I’m not sure if they can still carry it. Is there any precautions I should take before moving the snail

The snail does not transmit ich. However, any water with the snail, even trapped inside can contain ick larvae. Placing the snail in another tank prior to at least 10 days past recovery from ick in a tank is a risk.

if the tank was successfully treated for white spot (by either chemical medications or heat), then it should be fine to move a snail across. However, I prefer not to chase anything around the tank for a few weeks after they have been treated so they can recover properly.

Just wait 2 weeks after you finished treatment and then move the snail.
