i need to lower my kH value in my tank water to lower the pH. the kH is currently at 9(ish) and i need to get it a little lower for the pH buffer to take affect.
i work in an Iceland frozen foods shop so i have a good supply of 5 litre bottles of Ice Valley natural mineral water and am wondering whether its safe for my fish or not.
the values are: (mg per litre)
Calcium - 22
Magnesium - 2
Potassium - 7
Sodium - 75
Bicarbonates - 280
Chloride - 15
Sulphates - 11
Nitrates - <1
Nitrites - <0.01
pH - 7.8

are these okay?

KH is the measure of calcium, magnesium, carbonates and bicarbonates.

With the information on the bottle you are looking at around 304ppm KH. Which is normally the case with mineral water. Spring water might be a little better but RO water is best.

lol.. i just drank a whole bottle of that stuff. weird lol

so, on the level of kH values (mine being at 9 atm), what would 304ppm be at?
and how much/many ppm would my water contain?

i was going to get RO water but its just a problem getting it from my lfs but now i have a load of 5 litre bottles lol
