With all the algae / biofilm eaters in my pretty crowded Hillstream tank, I do all I can, to grow as much as I can, and except for a small patch of hard algae on the front glass, that they work on all the time, but can't seem to make much dent on, even my algae scraper won't remove all of it )... my tank glass is pretty much spotless, as well as the rest of the tank except for the pagoda roofs, which are also a main feeding area, being closer to the main lights
but in the last week or so, I'm noticing a little hair algae on some pothos roots over next to my algae generator ( a pair of LED plant light sticks, stuck on a side glass, with a row of lucky bamboo, an inch away from the glass to shield the light for viewing... this is an eating area always full of fish munching away ) anyway I must be getting enough bleed through light between stalks of bamboo, that the hair algae has taken hold on the roots, the rest of the tank is spotless, despite long hours of light on the main lights... I guess it's good to know everyone is getting enough to eat... maybe I'll cut back a little on the algae cookies, and see if the hair algae starts disappearing???
