Hey everyone! I put a bid in on a male and female pair of mustard bettas on AquaBid last night, and I went to bed thinking that I probably wouldn't win. I woke up this morning to find that I did, though. I'm so excited! I've never gotten a fish from AquaBid before, and this one's coming from Duenbetta in Thailand. I was nervous about getting a fish from Thailand, but I read up and this guy seems to be great. So excited! I'll be getting them the end or the middle of next week! I'm also going to get another crown from my LFS this week. That'll make 3 crowns and 1 Veil. I'm going to divide up a 10 gallon for the three crowns and stick the new female into the 1.66 gallon that my red crown is in now. Hopefully I'll get some more females soon and move them to a 10 gallon, as well. Eeeee! So excited! Here's a pic!

Thanks everybody! I love him already.

Welsh, I payed $36 for them without the shipping. After shipping and everything, it'll probably be around $50-$55. Expensive fish..but I'm graduating college in two weeks. I'll consider them a graduation gift to myself.

Welcome to Aquabid. LOL Pretty crowntail you got there and don't forget to breed them. :) The shipping will be around 38 to 40 bucks and you add 35 will be 75.00.

Great Fish !
Is this what they call a double double , or 4 ray crowntail ?( experts please feel free to jump in) Very nice.
I'm sure you will be happy; Duen , and her husband are very knowledgeable fish folks.
If you watch aquabid, much you will see folks pay ,way more money for fish.
I guess value is in the eye of the beholder.
Luck with your fish.

Thanks guys. I'm so excited! Duen said that if I pay by Western Union, he (she?) will throw in a copper mustard HM plakat for free! I'm so excited! haha Things are getting out of hand here...I just went out and bought a 10 gallon to divide into 3. I was going to put the crown that I have now, the crown that's coming next week and one that I was going to buy this Thursday in there...but now it looks like I'm going to have (in total) 3 crowns, a plakat, a veil and a female crown. I guess I could just put all 3 crowns in the 10 gallon and leave my veil in his 1.66 gallon and put the plakat in the other 1.66. I can put the female in the 1.5 gal bowl that I have. Running out of room here...but it's so exciting! Boy am I in trouble...I'm addicted. :D

Up to $71...and I still haven't payed the transhipper. Am I nuts or what? haha Oh well...I'm still happy. (Just scared to hear what my mother will say when she finds out) In the long run... I can breed them and make the money back.
