I want to make a plant only tank, to grow cuttings and just make a cool addition.
I was looking at a small tank (kind of like a nano cube)..Is there anything special i would need?

I'm not sure. However, I would suggets a light fixture with 2+ bulbs so when you have to change bulbs the plants won't be affected as much.

Aside from plant fertilizer, some sort of soil under the gravel or sand, and proper light, temp, and research, there's nothing else I can help you with.

You do not need a filter in a tank with no livestock.

You may want an airstone/filter/something to help with water circulation. Some forms of algae thrive in still/stagnant water.

CO2 will really help with plant growth. You can use the cheap(er) yeast method.

Cool.
I might just get a Marineland Eclipse-type tank (all in one)
I'm not planning on growing anything tall...mostly smaller, slow growing plants.
I 'll use the Flourish substrate.

Oh..almost forgot...do i need a heater?
I am not sure if they are temp sensitive.

Just a warning, the Eclipse systems are only suitable for low light plants unless you are prepared to retrofit the hood.
