I have a 55 gallon I was just wondering if I could house them with my betta until I get the 55 set up and that is the picture of my shark and he is quite the littlecichlidmaster said:fks&m,

Black Shark.......

If this is the shark you have then I would NOT place angels in with them!! Black sharks are aggressive fish and may make life miserable for the angels. They can also attain an adult size of 2FT!!!!
I would also not recommend housing them with bettas!! The reason.............
A male betta may mistake it for another male betta (due to their long finnage) and begin fighting with it. Beside a 10 gallon tank is to small for angels.

Here is the tanks that I have I have 3 ten gallon tanks 1 20 long and 1 55 gallon I think I am going to buy the angels and put them in the 20 long and keep the mollies in the 10 gallon and give the betta one of the ten gallons or I might go buy a 5 gallon for the betta I havent made up my mind yet as to what I am going to do when it comes to the betta but he is my favorite fish so he will get the best but i want him to be happy I would like to put him with something else but those mollies are mean to him they nip his fins he is a list of what fish I have some one tell me which tanks to but them in I have 5 mollies 1 female betta 2 males one of the males is a short fin male 1 black shark 1 red tail shark 1 rainbow shark 2 pleco's so you all tell me where to put what fishfish503 said:black sharks can grow up to 20 inches and need a 100 gallon tank
you are not going to believe this those 2 angel fish are running with the betta those angels are the sweetest things and my betta is to. I can put a mirrow in front of him and he dont even blow up. I think he is on the spoiled side he wants all of my time he thinks i should spend all day looking at him I have had those angels less than 24 hours and they are the same way already. I will keep a watch out on them fish if they start not getting along I will move them I plan on having my 55 up and running within 2 weeks my tanks hasnt all the way cycled yet the nitrites are high and the nitrates are to but the ammonia is down to 0catman said:Angels require similar water conditions to discus.. Ie. approx a minimum of 10 gallons per adult angel. They will grow large very quickly!
They will also fight with a betta.. (and if they are adult, win.)
They should not be house with fish that will nip there fins, nor over agressive fish. Personnally, I would get the 55 gallon set up, then house 5-6 angels in it with a shoal of rummy nose (or something of that size). Kribensis can also make a good tank mates for angels.
that only lasted for one night the angel the bigger one started nipping the bettas fins the small one doesnt bother anything I am moving the betta for now until I get the 55 set up and then I am going to buy the betta a 5 gallon tank of his on so nothing wont bother him I just had to have those angels they were so cute and they come straight to me at the pet store. That is how I buy most of my fish I get the friendly ones that shark comes and gets food out of my hands almost all of my fish do that I have pets out of all of themcatman said:What size angels are they? If they are juveniles, then you should be ok for a bit. (but watch the betta.) the betta may start nipping the angels fins, or vice a versa. If they are adults, then you are very lucky. Most adult angels become agressive to smaller fish, especially if they pair!
Hope all goes well! But i would still move the angels to the 55 g as soon as it is ready.. (then maybe add another 2-3 angels?)
