I Thought Platys Were Supposed To Be Nice?

I just added two Corey Catfish to my two week old tank, and one of the two Platys I have in the tank seems to be nipping the tails fo the Coreys.

One of the Platys also had babies this past week...are they trying to protect their young or something? Will this hurt the Coreys? They don't seem to fight back, they just swim away.

Platys don't protect there young, as nice meal to them.
Platys don't usually nip fins, how are the corys what do there barbels look like.

How many gallons or lites is the tank.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia,nitrite,nitrate,and ph.

Do you mean the tank is two weeks old, or it's two weeks since it was cycled?.
