I Think My Swordtail Is Pregnant

ive got a female swordtail who i THINK is pregnant. she is swollen and the male wont leave her side and he fights other fish off. if she was pregnant - how long to they carry for in general?

if she is pregnant she will have a black or brown spot on her stomach (gravid spot)

hi,
they have fry roughly every 4-5 weeks, you need 2-3 females per male, to stop any stress on the females.

she has a brown spot of her nose lol but not on her stomach so i guess shes just tubby!

what colour is she? if shes a darker colour like orange its harder to see the gravid sopt.

she is bright orange with black top and bottom to her tail.

The gravid spot is sometimes hard to see, but when they blow up like a balloon you'll know for sure.
