Yeah, she doesn't have any gravid spot that I've noticed, but her belly looks rather large. I've got a male in with her but I've only had them for two days. She was at the lfs earlier in an overstocked community tank filled with perhaps 30 mollies.
what color is she.if she is a lighter color you can see a gravid spot.if she is a darker color you will see a whiter gravid spot if not she will look like an over inflated balloon.also what kind of molly is she?
HTH
shes probly pregnant then, if you wnat to keep the fry then keep you eye on her for when she will be going in to labour, do u have a breeding tank to put her in?
or breeding trap but i dont like useing them i feel the females dont get enough room to move
how would we like to be put in a tiny room while in labour ? not very nice lol
a I reconmend 6g min for a fry tank, planted and lots of hidey holes for the fry.
Sponge filters are best for fry tanks, I have an undergravel in mine they work ok, but you gotta make shore you keep any substate very clean in a fry tank.
you dont always nessessarily ned a whole new tank IMO. if you cant afford it like mwa... just buy a birthing box and once shes had the babies then scoop em into it. mine site on the side of my tank(clung on by two metal hooks.
if you have any floating plants then they wil like to hide in there from any fish that wants to eat em... until you find them.
ALL my mollies have survived in them... i keep em in there til they are ok to swim about and hide and not get eaten...so i wait til they are a little bigger and let em into the tank.
