hi all,
i've only just noticed my fish have tiny little white spots which i believe after lots of reading could be ich, it seems to be mainly on their tails.
i've read lots of information about treatments, but i still feel confused.

i live in the uk, could anyone suggest a treatment for this please?

regards
Paul

Raise the temperature and add some salt, aquatonic is good or proprietary ich treatment

i've been to a lps today and got some king british white spot control and added the correct dosage to my tank, and the wanter has a green tinge to it is this normal?

how often should i be treating the fish with the white spot control?

i also got some interpet general tonic to treat any secondary diseases, how often should i use this once the white spot has cleared?

The green water is normal don't worry. Just dose the whitespot treatment as per label. Personally I wouldn't worry about tonic. Water change after a week and see how it goes.

would the white spot treatment effect the bacteria in the filter?

Yes and so will the carbon you use to take the treatment out of the water once it is complete.

Along with the treatment up the temp!!

My Betta has a bit of ich the other week, I just did water changes and upped the temp and it has all gone :)

I took the carbon media out, i've upped the temp and left the lights off. How will it effect the media in my filter?

oh this doesnt sound too good since im a week and a bit in to a fish in cycle :/

do you mean its worth putting some carbon media back in to my filter once the treatment is complete?
