i think my clown knife is dying

i have recently purchased a clown knife, yesterday in fact and it doesnt look well. it is limp in the water for about an hour then it swims round for abit before playing dead again.

as far as i can tell it hasnt eaten either. i have tried it with blood worms, garden worms, pellets, flakes, cucumber and it hasnt eaten anything.

the fish itself looks very thin and weak, can anyone suggest anything that might help.

1.Test your water.
2.Your temp should be between 75ºF to 82ºF (24-28°C)
3.What's your PH, should be between 5.5 to 7.0
4.What tank is it in?

are you sure it wasn't like that before you bought it? and what were your methods of acclimatising it

its died now. it did look healthy in the shop but when we got it home it was in my husbands tank with cat fish and cichlids but one kept fin nipping it so we took it out and placed it in my community tank where it was the biggest fish so hopefully it could recover without being picked on. when i got up this morning it had died.
