I Think My Cardinal Tetras Have Whitespot

Hi..
I have 10 Cardinal Tetras and 6 Ottos and a few of the cardinals seem to have a whitespot on their tails which i believe to be the begining of Ich... can i treat them in a heavily planted tank??? kind of difficult to catch all the cardinals out. any solutions? thanks...

If the fish can take it then you may be better slowly rasing the temp to 30c for a few days as the whitespot parasite cannot survive at this temp. Treatment may harm the filter bacteria whereas this method can usually be done without issue providing you up the temp very gradually, maybe a degree or two each day.
