I Think I've Killed My Fish.

Now, this was not on purpose, but I believe I've killed one of my fish.

About 2 days ago, I was trying to catch one of my platies to treat her for fungus (I was going to put her in a little bath of solution rather than treating the whole tank). Whilst chasing her around, I got her between the net and the corner of my tank. Since my tank is round, she got caught and I think I pushed her a little against the side. I quickly got her into the net, treated her as fast as I could and then put her back in.
When she was released, she swam down, nose first, into one of my plants and just sat there with her head facing down. We then turned off the lights and put a towel over the tank in the hope that the darkness would calm her down.
After checking on her every 10 minutes or so, she was swimming around more and looking pretty healthy.
Now, a few days later, she swims with her head slightly higher than her body and her swimming seems a lot more frantic. She also just sits down the side of the tank by all the large pebbles, and when you go and see if she's all right, shoots up to the top, takes some air from the surface and then shoots back down to the back of the tank.
Not only do I feel like I'm going to lose her, but the medicine hasn't even taken any effect yet I think all the stress of catching her has almost cancelled it out.

I really have no idea what to do to help, if I even can.
If anyone has any ideas on what I can do to help, it would be much appreciated by both and my platy!

you did dose correctly didnt you for the small ammount of water.
you may have injured your fish possibly.

im concerned about the "bath" you placed her in

keep the lights off and just leave it be for a few days, dont prod or poke around. It might survive, it might not.

The bath was just some water straight from the tank with a little over the recommended amount of treatment in it, since she was only left in there for about 1 minute.

keep the lights off and just leave it be for a few days, dont prod or poke around. It might survive, it might not.

Sounds good. She seems fine with the light on and is still eating, but I'm not going to fish her out or anything for at least another week.

I was just wondering around the house for about 20 minutes feeling guilty until I saw her swimming around again

Why "a little over the recommended amount"? A minute may not seem like long to you but to a fish who sounds to have been extremely stressed 'a little over the recommended amount' can be very detrimental

Possibly the platy is stressed but time will tell.

try siphoning the water back into the tank instead of pouring it in(if you do pour it in)

I think even if I had put her into a hospital tank, she would have become even more stressed.
I'll keep my eye on the ammonia levels, but with only 2 fish in the tank, water changes aren't really necessary. But if I do have to do one, I'll make sure it's as quick and smooth as possible
