OK, here's the dealio: if the newsletter is put out EVERY TWO MONTHS and has five articles in every issue, thats only 30 articles. So, if we want it, we don't need regular contributors, we just need articles ready for it and maybe an advice column/new aquarium technology, which will need regulars. So get writing, basically, and if we have 30 articles we could have it for a year.

But the problem is the articles need to be NEW, and cover a variety of topics, so that we can learn something from them

If you feel that strongly about it, why are you not doing it anyways privately. Why create a new thread when there is already a thread dedicated to the topic.

It should also be posted in the correct section (perhaps Board Suggestions, oh wait a minute, theres one in there too).

Enough people have already posted their views, your not going to get the same people post them again so a new thread was not really needed.

If the pitch for a newsletter cannot be organised effectivly, how can you expect to organise a proper newsletter?

not everyone has to learn from them. I myself probobaly wont learnt much at all about the planted part, but someone just starting will.
