Going to set up a fry tank in a couple of weeks, bought a nice wee sponge filter today which I'm going to put in my 2 foot tank that currently is home to the fry. How long will it take to cycle the filter?

Cheers Dev, I thought 2 weeks, that's an extra 2 weeks for my fry to grow up a bit. They're currently in a 17 gal with 6 adult mollies and 2 adult guppies. 9 fry, not sure if theyre guppies or mollies yet!

If you have another tank, take out some of the filter media and use it in your new little filter. Instant cycle.

Edit: You want to put the media in your filter, not your fillets. haha.
