i seen a differnet type fish at my lfs....

my lfs has a sale on a fish their calling a red finned cigar shark.

anyone ever hesard of this? anyone know how big they grow? what type of fish can live with them? etc?

any info would help.

I think you may have seen a mad barb Leptobarbus hoeveniiAKA red-finned cigar shark; they get huge, upto a meter in length and need to be in schools of at least 6.

reading that ino, they definetly shouldn't be sold at a lfs to unsuspecting newbies. espically as a sale of 3 for $18. because they do look awful small now and the people working today didnt know hat their max size would be.

if they had told me a decent answer i probably would have purchased them but lucky me i checked for answers first.
