So anyone who knows about a good ofs (online fish store) in the US (or anywhere for that matter) please post a link here and tell us your experience with them (and where they are willing to deliver to) if any, if not then say so and hopefully someone else will elaborate. I thought this was a rule breaker but since there is a pin i guess it's ok.

Aquabid.com I've never ordered from them so I know nothing aside from the fact that it's the only website I could find that sold gambusia affinis in a smaller quantity than 50. They have a good selection of cold, fresh, and salt water creatures. EDIT:  OOPS not aquabid I meant liveaquaria.com.

Please post, this could get pinned and be really usefull to someone (like me :D ).

Mods if this goes well please use your discretion about compressing this into a pinned topic.

I've used liveaquaria.com and aquabid.com

LA has a good selection of fish and they were willing to deliver to my little town in Wyoming. The fish came fed-ex and I was impressed with the shipping. I had one arrive with only one eye and when I called them they put it on file and had he died, I would receive credit or a replacement. My only reservation is that for the most part you have no say in which fish you get unless specified in the profile. If you order fish such as platies or bettas it's random what colors you get. I did however order 12 platies and I received a great variety of colors and sexes

AB I have dealt with many many times. I've gotten fish both internationally and domestically. I've only had issue with one seller, but we worked it out ok. It's hard to say as a whole because you're dealing with individual sellers, but like ebay, feedback is a valuable tool you can use over there as well. Also, AB has a feedback forum where you can ask other users what their experiences with a seller are. Most sellers will ship anywhere in the US and most of the time you are given the option of which delivery service you wish to use. Also note that if you are buying overseas you'll have to pay the transhipper fees and shipping as well.

Any online store is going to include shipping costs and that's something you have to decide if that's worth it. For me personally, I have a 2 hour drive to the nearest fish store and about 10 months out of the year it's likely the roads will be closed or unsafe to drive there. Gas and shipping will usually equal out for me and the fact that I often can't physically get to a lfs make it worth it for me.

I edited my last post. I have't really looked at aquabid It was live aquaria that I was thinking about. Thanks for jogging my memory. Any body else know of any...good or BAD?
