I really screwed up this time! I was cleaning my tank with the python gravel vac and never checked to see if our cleaning maid people plugged the sink, and they did, so... ummmmm.... well water went everywhere !!! I flooded my bathroom, and the bad thing is that it flooded into our garage a bit, i ruined the roof in the garage, and i have to pay for it now. This is the same day i got my account fixed at the bank after they accused me of overcharging! The worst part is...my tank water was syphoning when i turned off the sink, and i didnt realize it in the rush to clean (which by the way my dad tore me a new one) and it took out 75% of my water in my 60 gallon tank... now everyone was ok, so about 45 minutes later, after the running and confusion and yelling, i filled it back up, put in conditioner and everything and did everything i am supposed to, knowing this wasnt going to be good.... i awoke in the morning to one dead angel and a couple dead neons... i came home from school, and found my othet two angels dead, my synodontis eupterus dead, 18 neon tetra, 1 blue an dgold rams dead, and now i dont knwo what to do! Arg..... i am on my way to work tho, so i will talk to you all later, bye!

Sorry for all your troubles, that water change was to big probably stressed the fish with altering the tank stats to fast, what is the ph of the tap water to the tank.

thats awful dude, dont balme yourself thogh, was just a really big freaking accident. iv lot more that a couple fish due to my "accidents" and neglect and thinking about it still makes me feel awful. just get your place cleaned up and see what you can salvage from your tank. it was likely the mass water change that di your fish in. im used to keeping really hardy fish so big water changes dont bother them much, im sure if i kept angles and tetras i would have accidentally done the very same thing. im sry for your loss :/

ya some fish are still alive, when i redo my tank, i may not get the clown pleco, the neons (they were food anyways), and the ottos (no algea :). I just feel so bad about it! Especially since the angels were my girlfriends FAVORITE fish, she would always come by and when she walks into my room the first thing she does is say hi to them :( She doesnt know yet, i dont know what i am going to do.... I took out my bad plants and i am going to go through the tank and get the rest of the dead fish out, and get the live ones out so i know what i have in there.... I guess i have to go re shopping.... i knew when i saw the water and how low it was, i knew it was going to be bad... but 80% fish loss... i feel evil!

bye guys..... :byebye:

Gosh that's just aweful ! just one of those nightmare situations
Best of luck with something like that not happening again !

Sorry for ur lost :rip: my little fishy
You aren't as bad as me lol atleast some of ur fish survive, when I having problem all of my fish go cooked by a broken heater which = 100% death.

someone at my work had that heater one happen to them, guess what kind of heater, a top fin heater ( who woulda guessed?)

well, something amazing has kinda happened... i have ONE, i reapeat ONE neon tetra, out of 24 neons, one made it out alive, and i am actually AMAZED! it has been a couple days now, and i have seen him swimming, i just expected him to ... well... die :( but he didnt! :) I wanna keep him, and name him lucky or something... but i cant... cuz eventually he would get eaten... and he needs to be with others... what shouldi do, return him as a donation to my work lol or buy him some friends, who will eventually die too... but ya... my angels wille at them, an dmy synodontis.... those fish iwill defnitely be getting back...

If the poor guy made it through that ordeal I would give him a break, and give him back to an lfs so he doesn't get eaten. Sorry about all your losses, I can't imagine how bad that must suck. At least you are willing to pick up the pieces and start all over again. Goodluck breaking it to your g/f. I am always crushed if any of my fish die, so I feel for you.

probably donate him to ur fish store. poor little guy must be stress like mad. good luck to him.
