Actually...I will get back there sometime...want to find where my dad was stationed during the war. There is a pub nearby there that is still up. Woodman Inn I believe it is called. Would love to have lunch there (? ploughman's lunch..is that the right phrase?).

We do need to get some pinned topics up....maybe we can all work the the Mods to get those little thingeys up there. SH

Ahh ploughmans lunch - brings back memories.
Unfortunately less and less pubs do the traditional Ploughmans or Chicken in a Basket, and you are now stuck with
'Hickory Smoked Linconshire Pork Sausages, on a fluffy creamed potato bed with basil and chive garnish' (Bangers and Mash)
or
'Chunky Veal and Champigons in a light choux pastry coating with generous sized lighty fried King Edward Slices' (Steak and Mushroom Pie & Chips)
