Rufus, my betta which I keep at work, is in a 3 gall bowl with an elite mini filter. I've struggled to get a heater small enough because of the curve of the bowl. I had a 7w heat pad which was always on, under the sand, which was enough during the summer. When it started to get cold, I swapped this for a new newattino+ with thermostat set to 26C. (I had a secondhand one for him at first, but I think it was broken as the temp was all over the place!) This hasn't been enough though, with temp dropping to 21C in the day sometimes! So I've added the heat pad back in as well, which seems to be OK, but it looks a right mess. And having the 2, much younger and smaller bettas at home in 5 gall tanks makes his tank look really small.
So I want another 5 gall. I've lost 3 on eBay at the last minute so far
I don't want to pay over £20 as I've won similar tanks for this much in the past. They keep going for just over though, and when I factor in petrol, it's too much. Maybe it's 'cos it's christmas?
Hawkins has an ad for exactly what I want for sale in his signature. I've emailed him, but no response. Anyone know where he lives?
