I've been lucky/unlucky in breeding only two type of fish to date: Long-finned Leopard Danio's, Kribensis (woo-hoo!), and perhaps Leopard Danio's (eggs were being eaten!).

The LF Danio's were "easy". Easy as in they didn't need much to breed. Plenty of food: greens, meat and pretty much anything else (!).

Kribensis, suitable male/female pairing, a shelter, good food and spiced with variety, and lots of personal space, etc.

The question is this. I suspect the best way to breed fishes is to make tanks species-only, or at least with a couple of dither fishes. Am I right? Does anyone else have anything to add?

(Yes, I am aware of water quality, and environmental issues)
