Im looking for some fish which are over 2inches in length but are also colorful and eyecatching that can be my last addition to my 60G.
I need to stay away from silvery and yellow colors.

ahh yea its in my profile....

I had the same problem.

Have now got some Red Rainbowfish (lovely metallic too - look a bit dull in the shop, but really colour up once in the tank), a Super Red Sailfin Molly, and a Long Finned Swordtail.

mmmmm..im kinda gravitating towards platy or swordtail which is very unlike me...because i kinda hated them for a while, but they come in some really nice bright colors, there are some cichlids as welll but im not sure if they would be right to go in my tank...jewels, rams, kribs obviously not all of them!

i would recommend golden gouriamies, neon blue dwarf gouriames, or red gouriames(any sort of them actually) i have them in my tank and they bring a lot of color

thats what I would surgest too :D

wouldnt all those gouramies along with my pearl gouramies be a bit of gouramie overload, terrtitorial disputes and such, also surface dwelling fish?

Personally i would go for swordtails, they come in pretty much every color you can think of now days- you should only have one male in a mixed gender group though, and at least 2 females.
Is there any particular color or type of fish you are looking for?

pink hehe.....blue, green, marbled, bright red, purple? just not silver or yellow or orange

i dont want babies thou cant i have just males or will they fight, are they not like guppies? i had all male guppies ina group to ease agression.

and the reason i dont want females is, i dont want fry but when they are born i cant help but save them, and end up with a ton of fish cos i just cant help myself :X

ok... first off you won't have to worry about babies as they will just get eaten by the other fish if the momma fish lay them in the tank. most of the time you won't even know unless you carefully monitor the birthing cycle of when she got pregnant and when she gives birth. otherwise this won't be a problem. secondly swordtails can be a little overzealous with territory and such, especially if a female is around (platies are kinda the same just not as severe). as for the guppies, i have only seen the 1m:2f ratio work as well. males tend to tear at each other's fins when they are together (assuming guppy means fancy guppy and another type of guppy- i.e. endler's livebearers, which are good at in male only groups).

i hope i helped
