The same thing that my mollie done before she got real bad off my other fish are doing I posted something about it in another thread but I dont think anyone else is still reading it I will tell you how the mollie that died done the first day she started with a long string thing comming out of her that was white it soent look like poop then the next day she was in a S shape then on the fourth day she was headstanding 2 of my other fis started with the string like thing comming out of them last nite someone please tell me what they think it could be so I will have a fighting chance to save my other fish.

This is taken out of my Tropical fish diseases book ' white, stringy faeces are a characteristic sign of HEXAMITIASIS or CAPILLARIA

Are they feeding?
Are they Emaciated in any way? (hollow bellies)
What fish is it affecting just 1 breed i.e mollies or are they all suffering?

Have you bought any new fish lately that have been introduced into your tank?

what is that and what do i buy to treat it i cannot stand to lose anymore fish it makes me sick to even think about losing another one . They are eating like they are nothing is wrong that is how my fry done thier bellys looked flat but these bigger fish isnt I know I dont have good nerves I sure cant stand the worry of them dying on me I have to get this fixed in a hurry.

no the last one was my angels and it was over a month ago the mollies is the ones that is has showing signs of this as of now.

sounds like you do have internal parasites. would use the maracyn II and salt as long as there are no scaleless fish in the tank. there also is a medicated food. supposed to be good for internal parasites. as long as they are eating they should take the meds that way also.

the salt helps withinternal parasites and is veryhelpful in disease and illness as it helps with gill function. if they look to be bloated could do a bath of epsom salts. helps to releive the constipation which is usually the reason for the bloating.

If you can find it get some Discomed, but Aquatronics. I have seen it highly recomended for internal parasites. Good Luck

what about my scaless fish what do I do for them I cant stand this i am sick with worry how did they get something like this at I have aleays tried to do regular water changes and do everything else I am supposed to do I just cant figure out what went wrong

FKSM -- if bigfish is right maracyn will do nothing for you.

Get Hex-A-Mit. It is gentle for other fish. I've used it before to clear up hole-in-the-head. It will clear up this parasite problem as well.

Don't jump at all the recommendations for maracyn and maracynII -- you'll only cause more headaches using general antibiotics, by starting up a minicycle or worse.

Hex-a-Mit should help combat the parasite, htough some of your fish may be too far gone.

I still say a UV will help you zap your repeating parasite problems. Or nuke the tanks and start over if you won't do it. You've already put far more $$ on meds and fish than a UV and powerhead would cost you.

what company makes this hex a mit so far just the mollies are affected by this I will buy some in the morning if the lfs has it

I dont want to strip my tanks down and start over I have ugf and powerheads and the millennium 2000 they seem to do a great job I dont have a problem with my water now it is the parasites at least that is what everyone is tellisng me. I know sometimes it is a headache to try to figure out these things but I will keep trying until I get them well or they die one if they all die off I wont be starting back up again. I cant handle them dying on me I cant go threw it again. Thanks for all of your all's help.

Aquatronics makes hex-a-mit.

They also make Paragon and Paragon II which may be better if you think the problem is truly severe or perahps more than one parasite is in play.

But if you are sure about hexamitia then Hex-a-Mit is your solution (hence its name).

I've used all of aquatronics' products and have been happy. Their Clear Ick was the best of the anti-ick meds before I went to UV.

I know how you feel i'm going the same thing with my tanks and i'm pulling my hair out over it. I spent loads of money in stocking my tank for them to all die on me!!!! how frustraighting

I'm trying STERAZIN now as we speak.

Where will i find a website for Aquatronics?

aquatronicsonline.com

most sellers carry at least some of their products, at least in the US.
