In regards to the ammonia; what Pesmart thinks is ok is not often ok. Next time you have anyone test your water, ask them to write down the numbers.

Unless this is a well established tank, you are overstocked, and if it has been runnibg fir a while you should be doing more than 20% weekly water changes. Any sort of fry require very clean water, 20% weekly in a tank with that sort of stocking is too little.

What make & model of filter are you running, what is your maintenance procedure for this filter, and is there a way you could get the rest of the test numbers for us? I'm thinking it is probably a water quality issue, start with daily 25% water changes for several days. I do 50% to 80% water changes daily for the first week with fry, cut it back to every other day the second week.

Murkyness indicates a cycling problem if it is white or grey, an algae bloom if it is greenish. Once again test results(numbers please) will help with this matter.

my gallon size is 10 gallons, my pH level is 7.6, the petsmart checked my water and said that the ammonia and nitrate and etc was fine on it, I have 2 mollies (1 female & 1 male), I have 3 guppies (1 male, 2 females) and three mickey mouse platys. One frog and one sucker fish, I bought the three mickey mouses on Saturday and had babies on Tuesday morning now all of a sudden all the fish in the tank are acting wierd laying on the bottom of the tank I have no idea why?

Water, that is always a issue with first time fish keeper's. I would do what Tolak said and do some good ole' waterchange's. They usually sort out 1/2 the issues most awuariest's have. Trust me, i have found that out the hard way. Plus Tolak know's his stuff.

should I remove the adult fish from the water to change it or would that cause them to be more stressed? at this point my biggest fear is all of them dying. I have had the tank up and running for about six two months now. I have a one gallon tank that I could place my guppies in but I dont know how long they could live in the tank with only a gallon in it?

What is fine to Petsmart and what is actually fine are two different things. They often think traces of ammonia & nitrite are fine, when in fact this is not true. Petsmart pays barely above minimum wage, no different from most any fast food joint. You would not go to McDonalds for nutrition advice, going to Petsmart for advice on fish works out just as poorly.

Hanging at the bottom usually indicates ammonia, hanging at the top would indicate nitrite. 25% water changes daily, post the make & model of filter, and maintenance procedure followed for the filter.

There is no need to remove any fish when changing water, removing them causes more stress than leaving them in the tank. Make sure to use a water treatment that treats for chlorine, chloramine, and ammonia in the replacement water if you have municipally supplied water, and one that treats for heavy metals if you are using non-chlorinated well water.

I believe that the filter is a whisper 20, not much maintanace you change the filter it says every 30 days but mine has been changed in the last 15 and is so disguistingly gross that the water will not go through it anymore...so I have removed it I will try cleaning it out and see if that helps
