the rocks and rubbing against everything.I checked the water and everything checks out to be ok 0 ammonia 0 nitrites 10 nitrates and ph is 7.3. He just stated this early this morning. I have had him since he was a baby.....

Possibly just ich just keep an eye on him for more sign. Because if just scraping on object it can just either be ich or vevlet. Or maybe he just play arround.

Any red inflamed gills or heavy breahing.

any new arrival of anything? how long have the two fish been together?

The fish has been in the same tank for 7 months or better. I recently had my whole cichlid tank wiped out due to some kind of parasite. I couldnt get rid of what ever was ailing them. It took out my four of my oldest fish before I could nail the problem. Now this, I work very hard cleaning my tanks making sure the water is clear and free of disease. I think it could be the begining of ich but I am not for sure so I bumped up the temp and added some salt hopefully this will stop it. But if not I need to figure out something else.. You all please help me with these fish because they are my favorites..

holy u clean out all ur tank? Dude did u make the tank cycle cycling again before dumping ur fish in? And it would be cool if you could host a picutre. Just observe how he do in a few more days. I think that sign is a begining of ich break out. Good luck buddy.

How long have they been flicking and rubbing as you can't see gill flukes and body flukes on the fish.
