I Need Help Sexing My Rams...

I went through a few rams a while back & I had determined that they couldn't live in my town's water. Since then, I have moved to a new town and a few months back I decided to try rams again. Although I wanted a pair, I just got one in case it wouldn't work out. What I always assumed was a she is doing just fine

So last night I got another one, which I thought to be a male due to his bright coloring. I'm kinda confused now as the first ram was chasing the second one a bit last night, or maybe that's normal. Actually now I'm wondering if the first ram is a bolivian ram? They were both marked as german blues but the first one doesn't have much color & has black eyes.

I guess I'm asking what the sexes are, and if the first ram is bolivian or german blue. Thanks for any help

Will they be ok together? Should I get a female blue ram (providing the one i have is a male)? If these two were male & female, could they make babies?

Defently you have a bolivian and a german. I have two pairs of these guys in the same tank and they get along just fine. The bolivian looks like a female to me, and the german is a male.

And no these two breeds will not breed together.

Alright, one more question...

After trying very hard to pick a female ram out of the tank at my lfs, I bring it home & now I see it has black eyes, like my bolivian ram. This means it's bolivian right? I'm gonna have a tank full of rams pretty soon

Yep, but I guess it really doesn't matter what it is, still a lovely fish. I just wouldn't mind having some babies someday

This is the best I could do at the moment, this fish doesn't seem to be very photogenic... But I guess it DOES have red eyes, tis the one on the bottom left.
