I moved into a house a year ago and the previous owner had a pond in which i found 15 baby fish that he didint want, so i have looked after them but unfortunatly I am moving and really dont want to leave them behind (they all have names lol)

So what advice i need is can i put Shebumkins and golden orfs in a tank and what size would i need and also will i need a pump and filter.

Any help u can give me would really help

Sorry, but you really can't keep shubunkins or orfe in a tank; it would have to be HUGE (probably 8 foot long at least)

These are pond fish and won't be happy or healthy in a tank. The only thing you can do is build another pond at your new place. I guess you could possibly keep them in a large water vat or something for a couple of days, but that would be it.

Really ponds should have some kind of filtration system too, and regular water changes if you want the fish to be happy and reach their full potential.

Sorry I can't be more positive; I understand how attached you can get :(

Ahh never so i have to give up Bob and his pals as my new place has nowhere for a pond. This is really sad i carnt just leave them, i will have to find someone thats is willing to take them, but thankyou very much for your help x

Im sad now you dont want 15 fish do ya lol x

Aww, I'm so sorry; I don't have a pond either :( There's a classified section further down this forum or there's a site called 'Aquarist Classified' where you can advertise them for free. Hope you find Bob and his pals a great new home :good:
