Help im starting a planted tank, the tank is a 6g eclipse with an "aqua-glo" bulb 12" t5, substrate is a base of laterlite, flourite organic soil mix with a fine gravel cap.

plants in there are baby tears, a large sword, Indian red sword, water sprite, Sagittarius, and javamoss tied to a rock. its all set up, minimal water clouding, new filter so now i need to know how should i cycle it? i dont want to kill the plants and i hope to set this tank up for shrimps and neons so any advice would help!! thank you!! :)

p.s the filter is the #105###ty built in eclipse hood one, idk if i should use a different one with a bigger bio wheel?

There are plenty of instructions on cycling in the beginner;s resource centre (link in my sig).

Although most people cycle before they put the plants in, you can cycle with plants in. Or you might like to take the plants out and keep them in a bucket in a warm place while you cycle,

I'm not familiar with that tank or filter, so can't really comment!

depending on ur level of planting, u might want to read some in the planted section, this is a good one to start with
