A KH test card.. I lsot mine.. I have the KH test bottem but I need the colors and i don't want to buy one jsut for the card.. so can someone be kind enoguh to take a picture of theres and send me it please? :/

The ones with Doc Wellfish on it..

API

the problem you will have is the colour re production and the monitor settings etc... what looks right on my TFT looks completly different on my work CRT....

Just to give you a laugh.. just went to take a piccy for you - only to find my chart isn't in the box :(

I'll have a look and see what i can sort out.

[edit] the kit is by API - in a light green box

well it will give me a decent idea.. haha

:look: to the best of my knowledge the kH test does not need a test card.

Well at least not API. All you do is add drops (one at a time and shake inbetween each drop) until the solution truns bright yellow (the very first drop will make the solution blue and become more intense until it suddenly changes to bright yellow). I have to add 12 drops of the solution to make mine bright yellow - which means I have a kH of 12.

HTH :)

Thats what I've just realised too... add drops till it changes colour... thats the ºKH...

Forgot to add - if on the first drop the test water turns yellow - you obviously have a kH of zero.

:/ oh well that would be the logical reason I don;t have a card... haha thanks!

Well thank you guys.. that works well.. I have a KH of 6 and a ph of 6.5 :X does that mean my CO2 PPM is 40ppm?!!! thatis bad yes? what do i do? :-(

Planted tank? with added co2?

If so thats a good level for plants...

there are a lot of other factors that can effect the readings though... cant remember what off the top of my head... but is that reading straight from your tap? if so, it needs to stand for a while ;)

nah.. that is from my tank..

P.S. the goldfish tank is bugging me this week.. it is new.. but really a pain.. :S tropicals might get a new home.
