Hi everyone. Found this site cause i`m having ammonia issues. I`m going crazy trying to fix this problem so Grim and Evil (my Black Moors) live. Is it crazy to be attached to fish? :S :hyper:

:hi: to the forum.

I guess it's not really all that crazy, though I, personally, find fish to be indispensible only because of the costs of replacing dead stock. :/

Hope your problem gets solved.

P.S. the "[/color]" goes at the end. :p

Thanks for the well wishes.....i`m gonna get some live plants tomorrow in hopes it`ll help. I gave up on the color....thx for the tip anyways. This site helped me greatly. If i can be rid of the ammonia, i think Grim and Evil will thrive. They have grown since i`ve brought them home....they are tuff buggers!

there are products you can get that remove/convert ammonia.
look for bactinettes (a natural bacteria) or ammovec (a chemical).

are you running filtration on the tank, if so what type (UGF,internal, external)?

:( Sadly i have been using chemicals but they don`t seem to be helping. This site actually suggests not to use chemicals. That is why i`m going to get live plants today. I have an external filter at the moment....Aquaclear if i`m not mistaken. I`ve also cut down feeding them...once a day only.

The chemicals weren`t working anyways. I`m gonna do another 10% water change again. I also got some vallis and elodia and added them today. I`m determined to beat this issue....my fish will live!!!! :good:
