I love my lfs

I have just been to my lfs, just to look you understand .

They have some devario shanensis, so I had to buy them did I not?

well at the checkouts I spotted a strange looking filter, hagen Elite stingray

I commented that I'd never seen those and asked how good are they?
The owner, Andy, said they are a new line to him and he had no idea how good etc
so I, jokingly, said I'll take one free and test it for you.
OK he said and gave me one

your lucky, currently my lfs is pretty cool, they let me buy 2 fish and get one free! But then again my friend works there.

i have that exact filter but bigger, mine goes up to 75L (15Gal)

im very new to fish keeping but the filter seems good qaulity. I have took it apart and it seems very very easy to change the filters and the turbine bit on the motor.

one thing i can say is that its a little big, much bigger then the other filters in the shop.

P.s. As he gave it to you for free i think you good give the lfs owner a proper revies of it, tell him how it compares to your other filter ect. hopefully he will be greatful of your criticism and be even more generous in the future

The pic I posted is of the small one (all I could find) he gave me the largest one available.

I'm in Kent UK so unless you are near me you will have to con your own lfs owner

i like my Lfs because they have a buy 1 get one free sale on everything under 5$ every sunday. Also they price fish by size so i can get juvy pictus's and yellow labs for like 3$ for 2 of them and it is buy 1 get 2 free for cories.
