SAEs are the best!!! I had a sudden blooming of brown algea, green algea, and bga slime like algea, and hair algea in my goldfish tank. I was quite worried about all my plants never being able to recover but then i remembered my SAEs love to munch on the brown algea so i figured I would give them some food. so i took my plants from the goldfish tank and set them in my 72 gallon bow front. The SAEs suddenly stopped grazing on the walls of the tank and quickly came to my goldfish plants. with in 6 hours every bit of algea was gone! every little bit! I love them so much!!
anyway, I believe the algea bloom was due to my neglecting to do a water change. so today after I got the plants clean I removed every bit of algea form my tank walls and did a 50% water change.
