I just can't help it I have to shout to the world that my discus are breeding :shout:

I've had my Ogon (Chen's lovely white face and orange splodge body) for around a year and a half, got him when he was around 2.5 inches and he is lovely (didn't know for sure until today that he was a he LOL).

And the female appears to my Marlboro from GB discus, she is lovely and big and I got her as a birthday pressie last year (she was around 3 inches when I got her).

What I find strange is that they are teamed up with one of my wild Santerem discus, both males are fertilizing the eggs. I know that they stand no chance in the mixed tank I have but at least I know that I have a defo pair so I can see about separating them later this week when I get a minute.

Wouldn't it be great if I had a few hatch which were a combi of Marlboro/Santarem/Ogo fry, either way it is just lovely to see her laying the eggs on the outlet pipe (course she wouldn't use the cone I have in there LOL) and both males trying to fertilise them at the same time. :hyper:

Any one else ever had 2 males fertilising eggs at the same time ?

lol, not that immature, I was gonna say something similar

I'm going to try to take photo's later this week when I can get time, it seems that it is going to be the marlboro and ogon who will be the happy couple as they've now shunted the santarem into a corner so I've removed him and put him with the rest of the boys in the other half of the tank.

i had angel breeding twelve times in a row, in other words, a spawn every two weeks or so. i didnt really like it  probably cause i ran out of space for the fry

Well I prefer the side angle so slimming compared to the full frontal view LOL

Wow fancy have them breed that many times, was it the same pair .... how the heck did they cope will all the fry sticking to their backs ?

congrats on having a breeding pair.I love breeding fish too, especially if it is a challenge which discus certainly are, laying eggs is the easy part for them, the rest can take practice. Get them into their own tank when theyve had afew practices, it is so rewarding, time consuming but a great experience to see these fish raising their young.
regards Angel

I heard about a threesome of angels that where breeding once and that was it. These things are very, very rare! Congrats!
maybe they were kinky german angels into threesomes, b&d and all they other stuff

Well as expected the eggs were eaten by the rest of the residents but I managed to move the 2 paired discus (not sure about the wild so I left him)

Slightly blurred shots but I was afraid of disturbing them -

Firstly the Ogon male

then the Malboro female
