I am unable to find any information on the web regarding bik sharks. I just bought a shark from my lfs and brought him home. He has his own tank, which I am sure is too small. But I can't find anything about his preferred temperature, water softness, ph, etc. How often should he eat? Also, he seems to have regurgitated food from when he last ate at the fish store. Is this normal? He hasn't touched any of his ghost shrimp yet. I know, I know.. I don't usually buy a fish before knowing everything about it, but I couldn't resist. He is such a beauty!

hmm ive never heard of a bik shark before.

This may seem dumb but could it have been a black shark? and your LFS shortned it to blk shark maybe? im just guessing here! cause i really have no idea what so ever ;)

I know... normally, I don't just buy a fish without looking into it. It's definitely not a black shark. It's currently about 5 inches long. He is dark grey on top with a very white belly. He looks like a shark. :) He has a wide, round mouth. He also has 2 black eyes, and 2 sets of nostrils it seems.

Oh my gosh, you are right! It's an Iridescent Shark Catfish. Oh, that really burns my cookies. I told the lfs what I wanted and asked about the types of conditions the shark needs. They didn't speak much english, but I assumed that I could find anything I needed online. I will return him today and get something more domesticated that requires less tank than this fella.

Thanks for all the help guys. Maybe the name Bik Shark they had on the tank comes from their language (not sure what language that is, an asian one though).

Thanks again!
