I Have The Plants Planted, Now What?

Hi all,

well, I have plants planted in Florabase Complete.

CO2 will be turned on as soon as the filter can be turned on (still waiting for lid!).

Rooting through my stuff, I found a bottle of JBL Ferropol and a bottle of pets at home plant food.

Now, both of these are weekly or 2 weekly dosers.

When do I start dosing with one of them (i.e. should I let plants get established first, then start dosing)

Do I need to get a 'daily' doser of some kind? OR could one of these products fulfil that roll, if dosed in smaller ammounts?

If you're going to use C02, those aren't going to be great as they are both just micro nutrients, you're going to need some macros. I would advise some TPN+. The ones you have, only need maybe 2-3 times a week dosing.

Ah well, being the creative soul I am, I incorporated the spray bar/inlet (though they aremovable) into the 3d backing of the nano, it works a treat, but is quite splashy, the lid is to keep the spray in!

I'm waiting on some acrylic to replace the glass lid that came with it (this broke unfortunately).

Will this need applying immediatly, or should I wait a little while for plants to settle in?

it can wait a few days...the splash in the water sometimes can be detrimental to plant growth, due to the 02 being in more abundance than C02. You may need to crank you're C02 up a few more notches. Do you know what is in the tap water what come direct from the tap? If it's anting like mine, then you'll be ok for a while if you're doing daily water changes as mines packed with nitrate. But getting something which has N and P in will be good as the HC will thank you for it.

TPN is different from TPN+. Plain TPN only gives you I think 1 of the 3 main growth elements, whereas TPN+ provides all 3. Hence the price difference between the two lol
